Thiruvananthapuram: Authorities have announced that there will be no annual hike in water tax this year. Initially, a 5% tax increase was slated to be implemented from April onwards each year, as per the Centre’s directive. However, in February 2023, a Rs 10 increase per 1000 litres was introduced, and the annual hike from April 2023 was deferred.
Roshy Augustine, Minister for Water Resources, said that the hike will not be implemented this year either, as informed earlier.
