New Delhi: Kollam MP NK Premachandran turned teacher on Friday night as he addressed nearly 200 newly elected parliamentarians in the main committee hall of the Parliament building. The session, which ran from 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm, was part of a training program organized for the new members of the 18th Lok Sabha.
Premachandran, known for his expertise in parliamentary procedures, answered questions from the newly elected MPs. One of them inquired, "What action can be taken if someone insults you while you are solving your constituency's issues?" Premachandran, drawing on his extensive experience, responded, "There is a way. The Speaker can issue a notice for infringement."

Appointed as a teacher for the session, Premachandran guided the new members through the intricacies of legislative processes and budgetary procedures. The event was inaugurated by Speaker Om Birla, with several former ministers and MLAs from various states in attendance.
