Thiruvananthapuram: NIA has submitted chargesheet against Alan Shuhaib and Thaha Fasal, who were arrested for alleged Maoist links. The chargesheet was submitted in the Ernakulam special NIA court.

Both Alan and Thaha were arrested in Kozhikode on November 2019 and were accused of handing out Maoist pamphlets. CP Usman(40) was included as accused in the chargesheet.

They were arrested by Pantheerankavu police. The chargesheet was submitted almost six months after the arrests were made.

The case was handed over to NIA after it was investigated by local police in the initial stages. The three of them have been accused of conspiracy, unlawful activities and working in a banned organization in the chargesheet.

The chargesheet also mentions that pamphlets and pen drives were collected from the houses of Alan and Thaha and also they are members of CPI Maoist organization.
