Pinarayi: Megha Manoharan (24 years), a native of Pinarayi, was found hanging at her husband’s residence in Kathiroor on Saturday midnight. She was taken to Thalassery general hospital where she was declared dead. 

It is said that Megha had returned from a birthday party before committing the act. Meanwhile, her relatives have lodged a complaint against her husband’s family accusing them of torture. They claimed there were marks of physical torture on Megha’s body. 

Megha got married to Sachin (fitness trainer) on April 2, 2023. She was working as a software engineer in a firm in Kozhikode Hilite mall. 

Sachin’s family has been booked for domestic violence. The Kathiroor police are continuing their investigation in the case.
