Kottayam: Achum Oommen’s husband Leejo Philip has come out in support of his wife who has been at the receiving end of the cyberattacks allegedly launched by the CPM workers. In a facebook post, Leejo declared his support for his wife and also stated that he is proud of her journey as a content creator so far.
“My wife’s achievements reflect her tireless dedication and creativity. The unjust accusations she faces are untrue; Achu's success is a result of her genuine efforts and ethical approach. My children and I have and always will stand alongside my wife with great pride as she pursues her passion as content creator. Coming from a business-oriented lineage, I have upheld that heritage which empowers me to fully provide for my family without external support,” Leejo said in his facebook post.
In the wake of the Puthuppally bypoll, a widespread online hate campaign was launched targeting Achu Oommen, the daughter of former CM Oommen Chandy. Photos and videos were circulated to malign her character.
In a bid to thwart the online attacks on her, Achu Oommen had registered complaints with the women’s commission, cyber cell, and Poojappura police station.
