Kozhikode: Noorbina Rasheed, National General Secretary of Indian Union Women's League, said that Muslim League projects the idea of community politics and not anything associated with gender.

“Although we are women representatives of the League, we should not forget the fact that we are Muslims and should not follow politics blindly by discarding the core ideals of the community,” Noorbina said while addressing a seminar organised by the newly-formed Haritha Committee in Kozhikode.

“The life of a public servant should be message to the society and we must stand for justice. There should not be a gender based discrimination,” she added.

She also said that no allied organisations can survive by avoiding Muslim League.

The supporters of former Haritha committee members have not attended the event. A section of MSF workers have also boycotted the event.
