Kozhikode: Sajeesh Puthur, husband of late nurse Lini who succumbed to Nipah virus, dismissed allegations raised by MP Mullappally Ramachandran against health minister KK Shailaja.

He declared that the health minister always supported him and did not make fake promises. He also raised a sharp criticism against Mullappally Ramachandran.

“MP Mullappally Ramachandran never even played a guest role to console us when we were in grief. Being an MP he did not phone or visit to support us,” wrote Sajeesh on his Facebook page.

Sajeesh took to his Facebook page with the post after KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran called health minister ‘COVID queen’ and ‘Nipah Rajakumari’.

Sajeesh noted that some people who are triggering a controversy now were not there to support him when Lini passed away.

“I felt disappointed to hear negative comments about people who supported me. When people rushed to my house irrespective of politics to condole Liny’s demise, MP Mullappally Ramachandran who represented Vatakara Parliament constituency did not play even a guest role,” noted Sajeesh.

Liny’s husband also hailed Shailaja teacher who always supported his family.

“Teacher was there to support as a family member. She used to contact me over phone and pay a visit to our house. Teacher phoned me on May 21 which marks Lini’s death anniversary,” wrote Sajeesh.

He also hailed the health minister as a great humanitarian.
