Mukesh Ambani visits Guruvayur temple, donates Rs 1.51 cr

Thrissur: India’s business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries visited Kerala's famous Sri Krishna temple at Guruvayur here on Saturday. He reached the temple around 5 pm and handed over a cheque for Rs 1.51 crore as his offering to the temple officials.

The fund will be allocated to the Annadan fund of the temple, say reports.

Ambani was accompanied by his younger son Anand’s fiance Radhika Merchant and Reliance Director Manoj Modi.

Guruvayur Devaswom officials received the businessman and team at the south gate of the temple.

“ Finally, I got a chance to pay offerings to Guruvayurappan. I’m really glad to be here. Thank you so much for the warm welcome,” said Ambani.

Ambani and his team spent around 20 minutes at the temple. Guruvayur devaswom board officials also presented a memento to the business tycoon.
