Malappuram: Evergreen music director MS Baburaj's wife Bicha Babu Raj (83) passed away at Kondotty here around 8 pm on Sunday. She breathed her last at her daughter’s house. As per reports, Bicha was under treatment for age-related ailments.

Bicha, daughter of Kallayi Kundungal Moideen and Bichamina got married to Baburaj in 1956. Sabira, Deedar, Gulnar, Abdul Jabbar, Shamshad, Sulfiquer, Roshna, Farhad and Shamna are her children.

Mathrubhumi Books had published a book on Bicha’s memories about Baburaj written by P Zakeer Hussain.

Her last rites will be performed on Monday morning at Mathottam Juma Masjid cemetery in Kozhikode.
