Chennai: In anticipation of the festive Onam season and the accompanying passenger rush, Indian Railways has announced a series of special train services connecting key destinations in Kerala. These trains aim to ensure smoother travel for those returning home for the celebrations.

Details of the special services:

1. Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram North (Train No. 06127):

This special train will depart from Chennai Central at 12:45 pm on August 31, reaching Thiruvananthapuram North at 7:15 am the next day (September 1).

2. Thiruvananthapuram North – Udhna Junction (Train No. 06137):

Departing on September 1 at 9:30 am from Thiruvananthapuram North, this train will reach Udhna Junction by 11:45 pm the following night (September 2).

3. Mangaluru Central – Thiruvananthapuram North (Train No. 06010):

This special express will depart from Mangaluru Central at 7:30 pm on September 2 and is scheduled to arrive at Thiruvananthapuram North by 8:00 am the next day (September 3).

Reservation details:

Reservation for all the above-mentioned trains will commence at 8:00 am on Sunday. Passengers are encouraged to book their tickets early to avoid last-minute hassles.
