Kochi: Veteran CPM leader MM Lawrence stated that the allegations raised by his daughter Asha Lawrence with negative intentions should be ignored. He also said in a Facebook post that Asha has done nothing for his welfare and she keeps insulting his other children, relatives and party workers who help him.

Earlier, Asha had alleged that the party does not allow her to take care of her father as he was hospitalized. As this led to controversies, MM Lawrence clarified the matter through Facebook and rejected Asha's allegations.

Lawrence stated that his eldest son, other relatives and party workers are present in the hospital to take care of him and a caretaker also has been appointed. He was admitted to hospital due to fever and low oxygen level.

In the Facebook post, he pointed out that among his four children, Asha had distanced herself from him for many years. However, she visited him recently and took his pictures without permission and started levelling fake allegations, he said.

Lawrence further said that Asha misused her label as his daughter and insulted party leaders who visited him at the hospital. As a daughter, she never helped me in any way, but tries to convince people that she came to help me. So, please ignore her fake allegations, he urged.
