Kochi: MLA Uma Thomas, who suffered serious injuries after falling from a stage at the Kaloor International Stadium, has shown progress in her recovery, according to a recent update shared by her social media team.

The Facebook post highlighted key improvements in her condition, including reduction in sedation medication and decreased reliance on ventilator support. The MLA was reported to have moved her entire body, signaling further positive developments.

A day earlier, Dr. Krishnanunni Polakkulath, the Medical Director overseeing her treatment, confirmed that Uma Thomas had responded to her son Vishnu’s words, indicating a reassuring recovery.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening, around 6:30 pm, just before the commencement of a mega Bharatanatyam event at the stadium, which was aimed at setting a Guinness World Record.

In her latest update, the MLA's social media post ended on a hopeful note, wishing the public a Happy New Year as she continues her recovery.
