Guruvayur: A review committee of the Union Government will visit Guruvayur on Tuesday to review the implementation of the AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) mission.
Technical Expert S Satheesh informed the departments about the visit of the ‘IRMA’ (Independent Review and Monitoring Authority). The authority is entrusted with sending the progress report to the Union government.
The authority is assumed to seek an explanation on the drinking water project that encountered hurdles lately. Mathrubhumi had reported that despite the AMRUT projects in Guruvayur getting national attention, the water distribution project is lagging behind which invoked the attention of mission director Renuraj.
The drinking water project is waiting to get approval from the PWD for digging the road from Muthuvattoor to Kottappadi.
