A 26-year-old man from Assam has been arrested for trafficking a minor girl into a Kozhikode sex racket

Kozhikode: One person has been arrested in connection with the incident where a girl who fell into a sex racket trap sought refuge at a police station. The person who brought the minor girl to Kerala has been arrested. Farhan Ali (26) from Assam was apprehended from Bhadrak in Odisha.
The police are bringing the accused to Kerala. The complaint was that she was brought to Kerala with the promise of a job and then trapped in a sex racket.
The girl, who escaped from the lodge, sought refuge at the police station. The girl had testified that there were more girls in the lodge.
Farhan Ali from Assam, whom she met on Instagram, brought the girl to Kerala three months ago. The promise was to arrange a job with a monthly salary of Rs 15,000.
The girl, who bravely escaped from the centre, sought refuge at the police station here the other day. She had told the authorities that there were five girls like her in the room. The girl's testimony states that three or four people used to visit the room every day, and the young man would admit six or seven people on Sundays.
Farhan Ali used to lock the room regularly when he goes out. She escaped at the time he opened the room, talked on the phone, and walked to the terrace. The day before she escaped, he had taken her to the Medical College Hospital for stomach pain. While going in the auto-rickshaw, the girl had noticed the Medical College Police Station on the way.
Immediately after escaping from the room, the girl got into an auto-rickshaw and wanted to go to the Medical College Police Station. After she reached the station and informed the police, she was brought before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). The CWC provided counseling and presented her for medical examination, and she was later shifted to Vellimadukunnu Children's Home.
