Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police have launched an extensive search operation to locate a missing 13-year-old girl from Kazhakkoottam.
Tasmeeth Tamsam, daughter of Assam native Anwar Hussain, who resides near the Kazhakkoottam block office, was last seen around 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Her parents reported her missing to the police at 4 pm, prompting an investigation that included a review of CCTV footage.
Meanwhile, the latest information is that the child has gone to Kanyakumari. A passenger on the train from Thampanoor to Kanyakumari informed the police that she saw a girl matching Tasmeek's description on the train on Tuesday. The passenger, noticing the girl crying, took a photograph of her and later shared it with the police. The father confirmed that the picture was of his daughter.
With this, the police have extended the investigation to Kanyakumari.
The parents lodged a complaint with the police, stating that Tasmeek had a quarrel with her mother around 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Afterwards, they went to work, and when they returned home in the afternoon, they found that Tasmeek was missing. Upon receiving the complaint, the Kazhakkoottam police immediately forwarded the information to other stations and initiated a search, reviewing CCTV footage and other leads. In the CCTV footage, it was clear that the child reached the Kazhakkoottam junction, but it was not clear where she went from there.
