Kottayam: Divya Dwivedi backs Dalit research student who is leading a strike in front of MG University against caste-based discrimination. Divya Dwivedi is a world-renowned philosopher and anti-caste intellectual. Divya Dwivedi has sent the student a letter appreciating her efforts. 

'I am witnessing with pain and angst your struggle to complete your PhD research, and I find your courage remarkable,' reads Divya Dwivedi's letter. She also said that the research scholar is leading an inspiring fight against caste-based discrimination as a human. She also extended her support to the student and hoped for it to see success soon. 

The Dalit student has been fighting against caste discrimination by the university for the past 10 years. The university officials are denying her the opportunity to pursue research in Nano Science.

The officials have not paid any heed to the court orders backing the research scholar. She started her hunger strike in front of the university entrance demanding the acknowledgement of the court’s order by the university.
