Neliyampathy: A man drowned after he slipped and fell into waterfalls here on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Jayaraj, 36, hailing from Puthenkurish in Ernakulam. The accident took place at Kundara Chola waterfalls around 2 pm on Saturday.

The incident occurred when Jayaraj along with two others visited the waterfalls while returning from sightseeing in Nelliyampathy.

According to the witnesses, Jayaraj slipped and fell into the waterfalls while trying to climb a rock. He was also capturing the scenery with his mobile phone. The visuals of the accident were also captured on his phone.
