Kochi: As the lorry of Arjun, who was reported missing in the landslide in Shirur, Karnataka, has been retrieved from Gangavali river on Wednesday, actress Manju Warrier has come out with an emotional write up on social media, saying that Arjun would live forever in the minds of Keralites. The task force engaged in the mission has retrieved the cabin of the lorry from the depths of the river with a deadbody inside it. 

“At last, we got you back,  only to feel the pain of death. A memory which will turn to ashes,now. Dear Arjun, you will live forever in the minds of Malayalis”, Manju wrote on her Facebook page. 

The lorry and the body trapped inside the cabin were recovered from the river 71 days after Arjun was reported missing. The North Kannada SP confirmed that the body inside the cabin is Arjun’s. The lorry was retrieved during the third phase of the search operation. Lorry owner Manaf identified his vehicle.

On July 16, Arjun's lorry was caught in the landslide that occurred on the National Highway at the Karnataka-Goa border in Shirur. Arjun was returning to Edavanna after loading acacia logs into his lorry from the depot at Ramanagar, Belgaum.
