Praveen suffered fatal injuries and fell off the bike. Moideen tried to escape but was caught by locals and handed over to the police.

Manjeri (Malappuram): In Elankur Charankavu, a worker employed for cutting wood, was murdered by a friend using a woodcutting machine. The deceased was Praveen (35) from Porur Chathangettupuram. The police have arrested the accused, Moideen (35) from Kumantadi.
The shocking incident took place on Sunday morning at 6:45 am. Praveen was on his bike, accompanied by his friend Surendran on a scooter, heading to the forest for cutting wood. At that time, the accused was standing near a shed close to Charankavu Angadi. When Surendran stopped the scooter, Moideen approached him and requested to borrow a woodcutting machine. He took the machine from the scooter. Meanwhile, Praveen arrived on his bike, and at that point, Moideen placed the woodcutting machine on Praveen’s neck and activated it.
Praveen suffered fatal injuries and fell off the bike. Moideen tried to escape but was caught by locals and handed over to the police.
