Kochi: Perumbavoor native who was on his way to the Himalayas died of sunstroke in Prayagraj (erstwhile Allahabad). The deceased was identified as Unnikrishnan, he was 58-years-old.
The man’s body is currently preserved at a morgue in Prayagraj. The Malayali association in the place has got in touch with Unnikrishan’s relatives and is making arrangements for the safe transportation of the mortal remains.
Over the last few days, regions in North India have been experiencing severe heat waves. The mercury touched 52.29 degree Celsius in Delhi a couple of days ago, it was the highest ever temperature recorded in the national capital.
