Malappuram native under treatment at Manjeri Medical College succumbs to COVID-19

The son of the deceased is an agent at the Kondotty fish market and had tested positive for coronavirus.

Manjeri: Kerala reported another COVID-19 death on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Kutti Hassan (67) of Thenhipalam in Malappuram district. He was undergoing treatment at the coronavirus ICU in Manjeri Medical College.

Kutti Hassan was admitted to a private hospital in Kozhikode on July 24 following severe fever. Subsequent tests revealed that Kutty Hassan was COVID-19 positive and he was admitted to the coronavirus ICU at Manjeri Medical College on July 25. However, he died around 9.40 am on Wednesday.

Kutti Hassan’s son, who is an agent at the Kondotty fish market, had tested positive for coronavirus.

Medical college officials informed that Kutty Hassan was suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure and heart-related ailments.
