Thrissur: A 31-year-old woman passed away while undergoing tubal ligation surgery. The deceased was identified as Neethu, wife of Sijo of Mala, Thrissur. 

Nine days ago, Neethu returned home after her delivery. She sought treatment from Palace Hospital in Chalakudy for tubal ligation surgery, where she breathed her last. 

According to her relatives, the reason for her death was an anomaly in anaesthesia. 

The couple has two more children apart from the new-born baby.
