
Nadapuram: Police used a grenade after a clash broke out during polling at Theruvamparambu in Nadapuram.
The fight broke out while dispersing the voters who had gathered together. Many people, including police officers were injured in the clash.
Nadapuram witnessed heavy polling since Monday morning. Owing to the pandemic, many voters reached the polling stations by 6 am and waited for the polling process to start.
Social distancing was not followed in many of the polling stations. Police officers had to struggle a lot to control the crowd at the polling stations.
Although the situation was brought under control in Theruvamparambu area, a large number of police officers have been deployed in Nadapuram.
