Kozhikode: Manaf, the owner of the lorry driven by Arjun of Kozhikode, who was killed in the landslide at Shirur, Karnataka, has lodged a complaint with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, saying that he is on the verge of suicide following relentless cyber attacks against him. In his letter to the CM, he demanded that steps should be taken in connection with the complaint lodged with the Kozhikode police, seeking intervention regarding the cyber attack against him.
After the funeral of Arjun, his family members came up with some allegations against Manaf, saying that he was trying to exploit the tragic situation of the family to gain popularity. However, the issues between the two were soon settled through amicable discussion. Still, the cyber attacks against both Manaf and Arjun's family continue on social media.
Manaf said that, although he had lodged a complaint with the Kozhikode City Police Commissioner, no action has been taken so far to curb the cyber attack. In his complaint, Manaf pointed out that even communal hatred is being flared up through the social media lynching.
Disappointed with the indifference of the Kozhikode police towards his complaint, Manaf has sent a complaint to the Chief Minister, seeking his immediate intervention, as he said that he is on the verge of suicide, with the cyber attack becoming too unbearable for him to withstand.
