Kochi: CM Raveendran, additional private secretary to Kerala Chief Minister, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Kochi over the LIFE Mission bribery case.
ED first issued a notice to Raveendran on February 27. However, he did not appear citing official duties in the Kerala Assembly session. Following this, ED issued a second notice summoning Raveendran for questioning.
He was summoned for "collecting details" regarding the leaked WhatsApp chats concerning the bribery case. Further, officials will also interrogate his relationship with Swapna Suresh and M Sivasankar.
Earlier, Raveendran had refrained from appearing for interrogation in connection with the gold smuggling case too. Back then, ED had issued three notices to him. Eventually, he appeared before ED after the court intervened and directed him to appear.
