3 officers transferred for leaking information from Munnar police station to terror outfits

Munnar: Three police officers who are under the scanner for allegedly leaking information from computers at Munnar police station to terrorist organisations were transferred to different districts. PV Aliyar and PS Riyas, who were officers of Munnar police station, were transferred to Ernakulam and Abdul Samad to Kottayam district.

PV Aliyar is currently at Mullaperiyar station. The allegation raised against the officers was that secret information was leaked from the computer to terrorist organisations. The District Police Chief appointed Munnar DySP KR Manoj to look into the matter. The mobile phones of all three officers were confiscated and transferred to the cyber cell.

Various secret investigation departments also started probe into the matter. DySP KR Manoj submitted a report to the district police chief seeking a detailed probe into the incident. The move to transfer was taken as preliminary action.
