Thrissur: A female lawyer suffered injuries after getting trapped in a plastic string of a decorative tied to a post on the Ayyanthole-Civil Lane road. The injured is identified as Kukku Devaki (48), a native of Kechery. The lawyer who practices in Thrissur court suffered neck injuries in the accident. 
 
 The incident occurred at 10.40 am on Monday, when the string tied across a divider flew in the wind and slit her neck. She was travelling to a lawyer's office near Chunkam from Ayanthole. The accident happened when she signalled to take a right and came close to the divider.
 
 Devaki said she lost control of the scooter but averted a major collision due to the vehicle's low speed. She added that the plastic string entangled her body as the scooter moved forward a bit. 
 
 The lawyer said the accident was caused by a string tied as part of the All India Kisan Sabha's national conference. Devika has filed a complaint with the district collector and the West Police showing that the conference ended on December 16 but the decoratives on the road had not been removed.
