
Thiruvananthapuram: In an unfortunate incident, a man was hit on his head by a JCB bucket by a gang of criminals when they were questioned about their excavation work. The land owner was brutally murdered at Kanjiravila in Kattakkada here in the wee hours of Friday. Ambalathinkala native Sangeeth who questioned digging soil from his land was killed by a gang of criminals when he was hit on his head with the bucket of JCB excavator.
The incident took place at 2.30 in the morning on Friday. The accused entered the compound of Sangeeth and later fled from the scene after attacking him. Meanwhile, Sangeeth’s wife Sangeetha said she can identify the criminals and the gang ans she named two persons Uthaman and Saju.
The gang of criminals arrived at the place for digging soil pretending to be officials. When Sangeeth realised they were not officials, he questioned their act. Following this, they murdered him brutally, the locals said. The body is kept at Thiruvananthapuram medical college hospital. The police have charged a case and started investigation.
