Kerala Solid Waste Management Project launches ‘Clean Kerala Anthem’ promoting responsible waste disposal across the state.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Solid Waste Management Project (KSWMP) has unveiled the 'Clean Kerala Anthem', a music initiative aimed at mobilising every Malayali against the growing menace of waste across the state. The anthem was released by General Education Minister V Sivankutty at Nishagandhi Auditorium in Thiruvananthapuram, in the presence of KSWMP Project Director Dr Divya S Iyer.
The anthem, produced by Bworld Corporate Solutions for KSWMP, forms part of the state’s efforts to cultivate a waste-free culture. The song combines dance and hip-hop rap to highlight the vision of a cleaner Kerala. Its central message, “My waste, my responsibility, my Kerala, my pride”, encourages citizens to take accountability for their waste.
The music video emphasises proper waste segregation and discourages dumping on roads. Residents are urged to separate plastics and food waste and hand them over to the Harithakarma Sena, reinforcing that Kerala’s advanced waste management systems and plants will succeed only with community participation.
The anthem will reach the public through Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, social media dance challenges, and major music streaming platforms, including Spotify, making it accessible across digital channels.
