Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Students Union (KSU) has called a statewide education strike on Tuesday in protest against the police lathi-charge on its leaders who were taking out a protest march towards the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Pookode.
During the protest march, KSU activists raised a slogan saying the Students' Federation of India (SFI) killed Sidharthan. The protest march also urged the authorities concerned to shut down SFI trial courts, abolish torture rooms, and put an end to one organization policy.
Meanwhile, the KSU Wayanad District President Goutham Gokuldas has been fasting in protest over the veterinary college student’s death. KSU state president Aloshious Xavier, KSU State President Aloshious Xavier, Youth Congress State President Rahul Mankoothill, and Mahila Congress State President Jebi Methar MP also began an indefinite hunger strike in front of the secretariat, demanding justice for Sidharthan.
