Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala will soon receive the first batch of the electric buses bought by KSRTC. Five of the 50 buses bought using the funds from Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram from Haryana.

The 9-metre buses bought from Foton PMI were scheduled to arrive on Monday but delayed due to Agnipath protests.

The e-buses will service in Thiruvananthapuram city. Facilities are developed in depots for charging the buses. A total of 15 charging units, including a fast-charging centre, have been established here.
