A KSRTC Swift bus travelling from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram caught fire near Attingal on Monday.

Thiruvananthapuram: A major mishap was averted on Monday after a KSRTC Swift bus caught fire at Mamam in Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram district.
The bus was en route from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram when smoke was noticed coming from the underside of the vehicle.
The alert driver promptly stopped the bus and evacuated all 30 passengers onboard. Thanks to his quick response, no injuries were reported.
The Fire and Rescue Services arrived at the location and successfully extinguished the blaze. Preliminary information indicates that the fire originated from the bus's undercarriage, but the exact cause is yet to be determined.
KSRTC officials confirmed that all passengers were safe, and further investigation is underway.
