A KSRTC Swift bus crashed in Cherthala, injuring 28 passengers. The accident occurred early Tuesday morning.

Cherthala: Twenty-eight passengers were injured early Tuesday morning when a KSRTC Swift bus crashed into the iron railing of an under-construction National Highway underpass in Cherthala, police said. Nine of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
The accident occurred around 5 a.m. when the bus, which was travelling from Coimbatore to Thiruvananthapuram, lost control and rammed into the railing near the local police station.
All injured passengers were rushed to the Cherthala Taluk Hospital for treatment.
