Thiruvananthapuram: A group of KSRTC staff has attacked the father of a student who arrived at the depot seeking students concession card. Aamachal native Premanan and his daughter who is a college student faced the bitter experience at the KSRTC depot in Kattakada here. Premanan who was manhandled by the employees sought medical care at the hospital.
Praman reached the KSRTC depot to enquire about the delay in issuing concession card to his daughter. The officials at the depot asked him to submit his daughter's degree course certificate and other documents. Responding to this, Premanan told them that he has been visiting the office for three months over the matter and requested them to issue the card immediately. Criticising the employees, he stated that KSRTC has been facing financial crisis due to such attitude of the employees. This statement has reportedly provoked the KSRTC staff.
Following this, an argument broke out between an employee and Premanan. Amidst this, a KSRTC employee manhandled Premanan in front of his daughter.
Video of the attack has come out on Tuesday. It is reported that the employees including security guards manhandled Premanan. Meanwhile, his daughter alleged that they also beat up her.
In the visuals, the girl was seen questioning the employees for attacking her father.
