KSRTC has raised the smart card recharge limit to ₹5,000, offering bonus value and enhanced cashless ticketing for commuters.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has increased the maximum recharge limit of its smart travel card from ₹3,000 to ₹5,000, offering greater flexibility and added benefits for regular commuters.
Passengers can use the smart card as a cashless alternative for ticket payments, with a system similar to ATM card swiping now enabled on buses.

Under the revised structure, users receive bonus value on recharges:
- ₹1,000 to ₹1,999: Additional ₹40
- ₹2,000 and above: Additional ₹100
- ₹3,000 and above: Additional ₹150
- ₹4,000 and above: Additional ₹200
The balance on the card remains valid for one year. If the card is not used within this period, it must be reactivated before further use.

The card is priced at ₹100, with a minimum recharge amount of ₹100. It can be obtained from KSRTC conductors, marketing executives, and KSRTC units across the state.
