Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has set a historic milestone by recording its highest-ever daily ticket revenue. On September 8, 2025, KSRTC achieved an operating revenue of ₹10.19 crore, the biggest single-day ticket collection in its history.
This surpasses the previous record of ₹9.22 crore, earned on December 23, 2024, during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season. Until now, the highest revenue during an Onam season was ₹8.29 crore, recorded on September 14, 2024.
A total of 4,607 buses were operated on September 8 to reach this record figure, compared to 4,567 buses during the previous record-setting day in December 2024.
KSRTC credited this remarkable achievement to the united efforts of its employees, supervisors, and officers, as well as timely reforms and departmental interventions. The arrival of new buses and the qualitative improvements introduced in services have also won wide appreciation from passengers, the corporation stated.
Expressing gratitude, KSRTC Chairman and Managing Director Pramoj Shankar thanked all employees for their dedication, commuters for their continued trust, and everyone who supported the corporation in reaching this proud milestone.
