Kozhikode: In the wake of the landslides in Wayanad, the KSRTC services from Kozhikode to this neighbouring district are temporarily suspended.
The KSRTC authorities have informed that the services have been suspended following the instructions of the police.
Meanwhile, heavy rains are continuing in Wayanad. There have been massive landslides in Mundakai and Chooralmala. The bridge leading from Chooralmala to Mundakai has collapsed and the area is isolated.
Meanwhile, restrictions have been imposed on vehicles passing through the Thamarassery pass. This is to ensure that there is no traffic jam in the pass and to provide the Mundakai rescue materials through the pass.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also has urged everyone to be willing to avoid traffic jams in the pass, and also to deliver rescue materials to Mundakai.
