
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) earned Rs 70.97 crore from services during the Onam season, from August 26 to September 4. On Monday alone, a record collection of Rs 8.79 crore was generated, surpassing the revenue of Rs 8.48 crore on January 16, 2023 during the Sabarimala season.
In the Onam season, KSRTC achieved daily revenue exceeding Rs 7 crore on five days.
The CMD of KSRTC expressed gratitude for this record-breaking revenue, attributing it to the collective efforts of the management and the workers. He commended the dedication of staff members who contributed to this success. The corporation's goal is to increase the number of buses on the road and achieve a daily income of Rs 9 crore. However, he noted that the delay in acquiring new buses poses a challenge to reaching this target.
