Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) is planning to provide doorstep services for consumers. KSEB services will be available by calling the number 1912. In the initial phase, this will be implemented in 362 section offices.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the programme and said that complete electrification and various online services of KSEB are supported by the public. The launching of a mobile app for the same is a good step, he added.
The inauguration was held via video conferencing. The event was chaired by Minister for Power MM Mani. He said that the board is planning to implement the doorstep service scheme in all 775 section offices in the state.
KSEB chairman and managing director N S Pillai explained the project. Energy Department secretary Sourabh Jain, Director Kumaran, Independent Director Dr V Sivadasan, Chief Electrical Inspector V C Anilkumar, ANERT Director Amit Meena, EMC director Dr R Harikumar, KSEB directors Dr Rajan and Mini George also attended the event.
