Kannur: KPCC president K. Sudhakaran, a longtime opponent of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has joined the political mayhem prevailing in the state, lashing out against the CM and his trusted political secretary, P. Sasi.

“Everybody in Kannur knows who P. Sasi is. Why was he expelled from the CPM? He was ousted from the party because he tried to rape two women by barging into their houses. Complaints were lodged against him regarding these rape attempts,” Sudhakaran said.

He also launched a heavy attack against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, alleging that he has always tried to appease the BJP in his political career. “Don’t you remember the assembly election in 1970 at Kuthuparamba? Pinarayi won that election with the support of Jan Sangh. He also received their support in 1977. Ever since, he has had a longstanding association with the saffron outfit. He is a wild monkey living in the shade of BJP,” said Sudhakaran.

“So many CPM chief ministers have been in Kerala before Pinarayi. But nobody faced allegations like Pinarayi during their tenures. We don’t have to look for a controversial Malappuram reference of the CM to criticize him. There is a bagful of allegations against him, including SNC Lavalin and gold smuggling through diplomatic baggage,” said Sudhakaran.
