Kozhikode: The report seeking government approval for submitting chargesheet in the case relating to the botched surgery of Harshina has been sent back from the Commissioner's office after a month for making necessary corrections. Investigation officer Medical College Assistant Commissioner K Sudarshan sent back the report citing almost eight corrections that had to be made.  

It is the responsibility of the District Crime Record Bureau to verify the report and ensure accuracy. Later on, it will be forwarded to the City Police Commissioner, and reaches the government authorities eventually.

However, the complainant Harshina has raised suspicion over the prolonged delay in sending back the report for corrections. She fears that a conspiracy is being hatched for toppling the case. Harshina suspects the latest move of the police to be an attempt to save the accused in the case. “I should have received the approval way back, but the report just bounced back at me all of a sudden on Wednesday, it took me by surprise. People are trying to guide the case in the wrong direction,” claims Harshina.

At present, the Commissioner has asked to once again record the statements of a doctor in a private hospital who had signed Harshina's scanning report. Corrections were sought on certain dates mentioned in the report as well. Harshina now claims that she could have made these corrections quickly, in case she was informed of it well in advance. The complainant also pointed out that neither the Health Minister nor other concerned officials have bothered to give their reactions so far, despite the accused list in the controversial case being produced at the court.
