Bengaluru: The bus accident on Thursday midnight in Hunsur, Karnataka, has resulted in the death of a passenger from Kozhikode. Amal Fraglin, a resident of Ramanatukara, lost his life after the private bus overturned.
Amal was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Mysuru but succumbed to his injuries. According to family members, he was trapped under the overturned bus during the accident. His body will be released after a post-mortem examination is conducted.
The bus was travelling from Bengaluru to Kerala's Perinthalmanna via Manjeri. The AC sleeper bus, operated by SKS Travels, lost control around midnight, hit a nearby electric post, and rolled over twice. Most of the passengers on board were Malayalis.
The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. Information from the injured passengers suggests that the driver may have fallen asleep on the wheel.
