Kozhikode: Five youngsters were taken into custody by the Nadakkavu police for eve-teasing and harassing a couple. A bike of theirs has also been confiscated.

The incident pertaining to the arrest happened at Christian College junction here around 10:30 PM on Sunday (May 21) night. Ashwin and his wife, residents of Cheruvannur, who were on their way back home after watching a movie were chased by the miscreants on two bikes. They misbehaved with Ashwin’s wife, and physically assaulted him when he questioned their indecent behaviour.

Ashwin lodged a complaint against the gang in the police control room and Nadakkavu police station. They were nabbed by the cops on Monday afternoon.

The miscreants were caught with the help of CCTV footage after identifying their vehicle numbers. Arrests will be recorded in the case after Ashwin confirms the identity of the accused.
