Kochi: In an unfortunate incident, a youth ended his life after jumping from his flat here on Sunday. 

According to Mathrubhumi News, the youth, identified as Jacob Thomas, was facing immense work pressure.

Thomas was living in a flat in Kanjikuzhi and was working as a computer engineer at an IT firm in Kakkanad. Before taking his own life, he reportedly sent a video message to his mother, expressing that he could no longer bear the work-related stress.

The incident came barely days after a video emerged showing inhumane treatment by a private company in Kochi. The disturbing video, which surfaced over the weekend, allegedly showed employees at a private institution in Kerala being subjected to inhumane treatment. 

However, the individual seen in the video has now come forward with a revelation that the footage was, in fact, forged. He claimed the video was filmed months ago during an internal conflict between managers and had been deliberately manipulated and released as part of a personal vendetta.
