Kottayam: A car owner in Moolavattom here has been asked to pay a fine after an AI camera on the road identified a traffic rule violation. The motor vehicle department has also sent a message to owner Shyno on his mobile number, informing him about the penalty. However, a closer look at the photo captured and received along with the message suggests that some bizarre has happened. 

The incident happened when his brother had taken the car to Kayamkulam for service. AI camera identified the person sitting beside his brother, as not wearing a seat belt. However, according to Shyno, the person was scratching his beard, which partially covered the view of the seat belt. This reportedly prevented the camera from detecting the seat belt he was wearing.

Shyno informed the motor vehicle department about the bizarre incident along with a photo proof. Officials are looking into the matter at present.
