
Thiruvananthapuram: The Southern Railway has extended the unreserved weekday special MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) service operating between Kollam Junction and Ernakulam Junction. Initially scheduled to run until November 29, the service has now been extended from December 2 to May 30, 2025, offering relief to daily passengers.
The service aims to reduce passenger traffic on this busy route and will continue to operate five days a week, from Monday to Friday.
Train No. 06169: Kollam Junction - Ernakulam Junction MEMU Express Special will depart from Kollam at 5:55 am, reaching Ernakulam Junction at 9:35 am.
Train No. 06170: Ernakulam Junction - Kollam Junction MEMU Express Special will leave Ernakulam Junction at 9:50 am and arrive at Kollam Junction by 1:30 pm.
The trains will retain their current timetable and coach composition.
