Thiruvananthapuram: The speed limit of vehicles on different roads changes accordingly. As many as 675 cameras installed statewide will be functional from April end to monitor traffic violations.
The speed limit permitted for a particular kind of road will not be applicable in all regions of it. The collectors can reduce the speed limit in accident-prone zones and near schools. Boards will be placed in these regions marking the speed limit of the area. Those who violate this have to pay a fine.
