Kozhikode: Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo would be totally confused to see so many Malayalam comments on his Facebook page. The Keralites requested the president to release Nilambur MLA P V Anvar. Some of them also ended up threatening the president that if he failed to return the MLA, he will have to face its consequences.
The incident took place after some rumours were circulated on social media that P V Anvar is in Ghana and that he was imprisoned there for financial fraud. The Malayali netizens took this as an opportunity to display their cyber bullying skills.

The post has received over 3000 comments which demanded to release P V Anvar. Most of the comments are written in a funny tone and even calls Anvar by ridiculing names.

Soon after this, P V Anvar responded to the rumours saying he is in Africa for some business purpose and that he turned COVID positive while trying to return to Kerala for assembly session. Amid this, people started alleging he was imprisoned in Ghana. He also put up a Facebook post replying to those who initiated the fake campaigns against him.
