Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: A 51-year-old printing worker in Varkala died on Saturday after her saree became trapped in a pinning machine, pulling her down and causing a fatal head injury.
The deceased, Meena, 51, was a resident of Cherukunnam, Varkala.
According to staff, Meena was taking items from a cupboard placed next to the machine when her saree got caught inside it. The sudden tug caused her to lose balance, hit her head, and collapse.
Co-workers immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital. However, doctors were unable to save her despite efforts.
She had been working at the local full printing press for nearly 20 years.
