The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in Kerala over the next five days. Some districts may receive heavy rain at isolated places.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert in five districts on Thursday, September 24, and two districts on Friday, September 25.

A yellow alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod on Thursday.

On Friday, September 25, the alert will continue in Kannur and Kasaragod.

The IMD uses a yellow alert when there is a chance of heavy rain in some places. Heavy rain means 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain in 24 hours.
